Sesame Flyers International, Inc. invites you to join us as we salute the exceptional achievements of four outstanding members of the Brooklyn community at the Third Annual Scholarship and Community Pillar Awards Gala on Friday, May 4th 2012, from 6:00pm to 10:00 pm at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
This event begins with a networking reception featuring over 200 friends, supporters and guests of Sesame Flyers International. Attendees will be able to tour the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, New York City’s first LEED certified green museum, including the World Brooklyn Exhibit featuring the Sesame Flyers Mas Camp. This year we are proud to salute the following Community Pillar Awardees: Dr. John E. Harvey, Founder and President, DAH Consulting, Inc., Davis ‘Junior’ Gayle, Owner of Tropical Paradise Caterers and Restaurant, Frederick A. Morton, Jr. Founder, Chairman and CEO, TEMPO Networks, LLC, and Ricardo Gomez of B2B Entertainment.
Sesame Flyers International is honored also to present the 2012 Visionary Award to Hon. Dr. Una Clarke, President, Una Clarke Associates. In addition we present scholarships to deserving college-bound graduating seniors, salute Sesame Flyers’ Employee of the Year, Kesha Shortt, Director, Get RICH Program and recognize Janet Cummings, Sesame Flyers Vice Chairperson, with a Foundation Award. We will recognize our Parent of the Year, Marsha Escayg, our Volunteer of the Year, Luzett Logan, and present our 1st Community Bridge Builder Award to Ann-Rhea Smith.

Sesame Flyers International Incorporated is a community based not for profit 501 (c) 3 corporation founded in 1983. This twenty nine (29) year old organization functions as a multi service agency which provides a number of services to both youths and adults. Sesame Flyers International consists of both volunteers and professional staff, dedicated to empowering the lives of young people and community.
The organization also takes pride in its origins and cultural Caribbean heritage and has enriched its name from also being known for its participation within the West Indian American Day Carnival festivities such as Kiddie's Carnival, Panorama and Labor Day, which is the adult parade of the band.
Sesame Flyers has been named " Band Of The Year " for the past ten (12) years and continues to look forward to the growth and expansion of the organization through all aspects, as we nourish our heritage and enforce the structure of both community and youth.
